I’ve just made myself a delicious protein smoothie to keep me going until dinner – I used what I had in the fridge, freezer and cupboard.
Here are the approximate quantities:
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup raw milk kefir
1/2 cup raw milk
1 scoop natural protein powder
1 dessertspoon of organic raw cacao
1 dessertspoon maca powder
Put all the ingredients in a jug and whizz until creamy and smooth.
On tasting, it could do with some more chocolate flavour, maybe a whole tablespoon – play around with the quantities to suit your tastes.
I haven’t added any sugar – being on a low carb eating plan I avoid adding it when it isn’t absolutely essential.
I still find the meat and nuts works best for me for breakfast, so this is great mid morning or mid afternoon to take me through to the next full meal.
